IRC Funded Autumn Criminology School for Doctoral Researchers

Welcome! This site is dedicated to Ireland’s first ever residential Autumn Criminology School for Doctoral Researchers which will be held at the stunning location of Blackwater Castle in Co. Cork on the 25th to the 30th of September 2016.  Run over five days, the residential Criminology School will involve 25 PhD researchers and will be led by highly esteemed Irish and international criminologists with input from key policy makers and NGOs.

Keynote Speakers and Contributors

The School will draw upon the expertise of a number of highly esteemed criminologists from Europe and Ireland. Confirmed speakers include: Professor Kristel Beyens (Free University Brussels), Professor Pat Carlen (University of Leicester), Professor Shadd Maruna (University of Manchester), Professor Fergus McNeill (University of Glasgow), Professor Phil Scraton (QUB), and Professor Ian O’Donnell (UCD).
